It Must Be Hard To Be Chad Johnson

The Cincinnati Bengals offseason workouts began today and one player that was not in attendance was wide receiver Chad Johnson.

His reason for not attending? Well...he doesn't want to play for Cincinnati any more. Duh!

Johnson was "bothered" by the criticism he received from local reporters and fans last season after Cincinnati finished a disappointing 7-9.

It must be hard to be Chad Johnson, you know? What with his 6 year deal worth a total of $35.5 million. I mean...really...he doesn't get paid enough to work under such scrutiny.

Head Coach Marvin Lewis had this to say regarding Johnson's absence today,

"What I addressed is that in the NFL there are a lot of different situations that occur throughout the season and the offseason, and they are not a bearing on any one particular player. Whatever occurs, this is professional football. You have to deal with it in your way."

Marvin...grow a set. PLEASE!
